Tingbo: PPT Notes Reader (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is an iOS app that reads the speaker notes in your presentations aloud, slide by slide, to help you rehearse before you present.
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information the App collects and how it is handled. Tingbo for iOS 1.2 and later renders PPT, PPTX, and Keynote on your device without uploading presentations for conversion. Firebase-enabled iOS versions use Firebase Analytics for feature usage; we do not include file names or note text in our custom analytics events.
The App does not require an account. During normal use, we do not ask for your name, email address, or access to your contacts or photos. If you choose to contact us, we receive the information you send.
In Firebase-enabled iOS versions, our custom analytics events do not include presentation content, file names, or speaker-note text. Firebase Analytics processes usage events and related technical information, as described below.
Your presentation files and speaker notes are processed on your device. Imported presentations, slide images, and notes are stored locally in the App’s storage so you can reopen them anytime. Reading the notes aloud uses the built-in iOS text-to-speech on your device.
Tingbo for iOS 1.2 and later parses and renders PPT, PPTX, and Keynote (.key) on your device. Normal imports and reopening saved presentations do not upload the file to a conversion server. If local rendering cannot handle a file, the App reports an error instead of automatically sending it to a cloud service.
Some Keynote theme images missing from the document may be downloaded from iCloud when needed. This does not upload your presentation. Imported files, slide images, and notes remain in the App’s local storage.
Normal imports in Tingbo for iOS 1.2 and later do not use Cloudflare Worker or CloudConvert to process your presentation. The App may download missing Keynote theme resources from iCloud. We do not sell or rent your presentations or notes.
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may process standard server logs (such as your IP address) in accordance with GitHub’s privacy practices.
Firebase-enabled iOS versions use Firebase Analytics to log file format and import source, rendering results and duration, slide count, slide navigation, and narration-start events. Our custom events do not include file names, presentations, or speaker-note text. Firebase may also collect automatic app events and device or app-instance identifiers. This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page views, visits, referral sources, and page performance. The service does not use analytics cookies or track individual visitors across websites. See Cloudflare’s explanation of Web Analytics.
Website analytics is separate from the App’s Firebase Analytics and cannot access presentations, speaker notes, or audio stored in the App.
Your imported presentations remain stored locally in the App. You can delete any presentation from your history at any time. To remove all data, delete the App from your device, which removes its locally stored content.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
